About C4 News

Jim Gray, the Channel 4 News Editor, introduces the format and approach of this unique daily news programme.

Channel 4 News

Channel 4 News flagship programme is 55 minutes of in-depth news and current affairs broadcast at 7pm each weekday, and at times that vary on Saturdays and Sundays.

Presented by Jon Snow, the programme aims to provide a broadsheet news service which reflects Channel 4's own spirit of innovation and scepticism.

Our driving imperative is originality - always seeking to set our own agenda, to come up with a distinctive take on events, and to challenge existing assumptions.

Our journalism aims to be authoritative and investigative, our production treatments creative and distinctive.

News at Noon

In April 2003, Channel 4 launched the News at Noon to satisfy the growing appetite for first-class news analysis.

Presented by Krishnan Guru-Murthy, the programme provides all the latest news and analysis as well as interviews with the newsmakers and our teams of correspondents at home and abroad.

The programme also features a dedicated business, economics and finance team with a special emphasis on bringing you the latest from those worlds at lunchtime. Join us at noon Monday to Friday.

More4 News

In October 2005, we launched our third programme, More4 News on Channel 4's newest free-to-air digital channel, More4. The programme goes out at 8pm Monday to Friday.

More4 News capitalises on the strengths of Channel 4 News but with a brief to analyse a selection of the day’s biggest news stories in more depth and from a unique perspective.

Multimedia

Channel 4 News is not just about television anymore. We have recently expanded our multi-media services, offering the main stories and interviews in broadband format, so viewers can catch up with the programme at any time, day or night.

And you can read Jon Snow's unique and unbuttoned perspective on the day's news agenda by subscribing to Snowmail, his free daily email newsletter, delivered straight to your inbox at about 5pm.

You can also keep up to date with the news when you're on the move, with our Snow text alerts sent direct to your mobile phone.

Channel 4 News is fully subtitled - viewers should select 888 on Teletext on 4 or "subtitles" for digital. If you want to know more about subtitles visit the Intelfax website.

Our digital studio at Grays Inn Road has a range of innovative production features including a video wall and virtual reality area where correspondents can present their items using the latest in 3D graphics.
