Our foreign affairs correspondent Nick Paton Walsh is embedded with American troops from the 101st Airborne in eastern Afghanistan.
He sent this report from Terezaye - north east of the strategic town of Khowst - and 20 miles from the border with Pakistan where American and Afghan troops are facing a ghostly insurgency that's hard to spot and even harder to tackle.
