End of the road for environmentally-unfriendly Vespa?

The old Vespa buzzes off the production line for the last time because its engine is too polluting.
Green may be cool in the twenty-first century, but environmental concerns have put paid to one of the true examples of timeless classic design, the Vespa, as ridden by Gregory Peck with Audrey Hepburn holding on behind him.
A new green version has replaced it but enthusiasts insist it is just not the same.
