Biography

Prior to becoming a general reporter, Emily was the News at Noon's money reporter, covering financial and business stories that affects consumers. She's been at the forefront of coverage about personal debt, IVAs, and the safety of our personal data.

As general reporter - she joined Channel 4 News as a reporter in 2005 - she covered a wide variety of stories from crime to the arts for both Channel 4 News and More4 News.

Before joining Channel 4 News, Emily was senior producer at ITV News.

She began reporting for them on July 7 when, while she was walking to work, a bomb exploded round the corner from her on a bus in Russell Square.

She reported live from the scene all day and followed up with interviews of survivors whose lives were devastated by the events of that day.

Since joining Channel 4 News she has secured a series of 'firsts' including an exclusive interview with Peter Doherty, the singer of Babyshambles, following his release from prison for possessing drugs.
